Conservation Framing
Simply stated, conservation framing is the practice of using materials and techniques that will neither alter nor harm your artwork. Usually this means employing some combination of the following:

Materials: acid-free, ph neutral matting, supports, backers, fillers and dust covers. Ultra violet filtering glass or plexi-glass (think of it as sunscreen for your art!)

Techniques: hinge mounting, sealing or lining to isolate potentially damaging contact between artwork and fillets, fabrics, dyes and wood frames.

Needle Art Stretching
It is important to stretch needle art in a manner that preserves it and presents it flat, square and clean. For more than 30 years, L. A. Frame Company has proudly stretched the needle art of local artists. We use methods of stretching that are reversible, and acid free materials to protect the work from degrading. We treat every piece like an heirloom.
